16 Ways in 2016
Happy New Year!!!
In today’s rigid walk, we shall be looking at 16 paths we should be treading in 2016; but i must warn you that as we go along, love, joy, peace and happiness shall be joining us. And so if were ready then lets walk.
Way 1 : The Way of Jesus Christ
I chose to Walk rigid in this way since 2006, and this year is no exception. This way always comes first, has been first and will continue to be first. What about you?
Way 2 : Peace
Peace continually goes before every one of us, what is our reaction when it leads? I have resolved to follow it. See Following Peace.I know it might be difficult to make up with last years enemies and chokers, and some people are born confrontational, if it’s not possible at all to make peace, then create a third way of escape and leave that 2 way junction, because you’ll be needing your peace this year.
Way 3 : Truth
I know our conscience tells us the truth unless we ain’t got one. Is the truth concerning that relationship starring you in the eye – the truth about leaving an abusive relationship or settling down, or the truth about your body’s behavior to go for a medical test, or the truth about the years spent on a non-profitable job or the truth in regards to a job quotation or is the truth about pregnancy? Re-affirm the truth to yourself this year, and walk rigid in it.
Way 4 : Rest
I as a computer programmer knows what this means and others in my shoes do, but if in one way or the other you’ve not been having enough bodily night rest, then please endeavor to walk rigid in this path this year. My wife rests a lot in terms of night sleep, she hardly jokes with it, and i can see that in her overall health. To avoid grey beards before 40, lets give adequate time for bodily rest in 2016 so that we’ll live long enough for hopes and aspirations and also for family and friends.
Way 5 : Charity
This is in fact better than spiritual minded fasting. See Isaiah 58:6-7.
My mom just left 2 weeks ago after a visit, but before she did, she went into a reserved room in my flat where i and my wife have left a whole stack of clothes and shoes; mostly unused; she packed as many as she could and off to the needy. Charity Edifies. We all will need every form of positive edification of both body, soul and spirit this year.
Way 6 : Knowledge
People are destroyed for lack knowledge. See Here. In 2016, i’ll be enrolling in for both Java and DBA Courses.
Yours might not necessarily be enrolling into professional courses, it might be getting another degree, or self studying through countless online mediums or libraries. In anyway, your knowledge base should increase in 2016.**
Way 7 : Health
My cousin bought me One A Day Men’s Health Formula a week ago and i’ll be taking the dosage seriously. In the years leading to my 40th birthday, my health is key. The decade between 40 – 50 for me will be for raising children, i need to plan ahead. For this is a testing time for my perseverance, patience and strength.
Regardless of your age, your health you will need for all round wealth in 2016.
Way 8 : Living Wealth
According to Henry David Thareau“wealth is the ability to fully experience life”. Without health there is cessation of life. So with health there is life, and so health is wealth.
A major component of life is choice, choice of food, choice of a life partner and so many more. A failed health can limit you to a choice of food, that indeed removes from you the freedom brought about by life.
The basic necessities of life are food, cloth and shelter. In living this life, some subscribe to maximum comfort in the form of shelter, whereby other basic necessities are warehoused in great detail. When they dwell in a 10 bedroom mansion upon a hill, have at least 9 cars in their garage and have the biggest wardrobe and private jets; we term such fellows as wealthy and prosperous. No friend, i tell you the real wealth is in your health because the entire mansions and cars and private jets and yachts cannot buy health and life.
So way 7 gives rise to living wealth in 2016.
Way 9 : Punctuality
Rising up early is not rocket science, when you sleep early you wake up early. I often wondered how refreshing my wife looks every morning, and she’ll need to tap me on and on to wake up for the day’s job. She sleeps early, while i work late nights. It’s really toxic, sleep late, wake up late and resume to work late.
I’ve decided to break this cycle this year. My punctuality to work shall be boosted this year with my going to bed early.
Way 10 : Cleanliness
“Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.”Benjamin Franklin’s Quotes.
According to Wikipedia, “Cleanliness is both the abstract state of being clean and free from dirt, and the process of achieving and maintaining that state.”*
I often have this mental state free from clutter when i clean up my environment, especially rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. I know my spiritual mindset enjoys it too as indicated by the aphorism “cleanliness is next to godliness”.
Cleanliness contributes to other ideals such as ‘health’ and ‘beauty’. It helps in disease prevention, and also as an assertion of moral superiority or respectability, cleanliness has played a role in establishing cultural values in relation to social class, humanitarianism, and cultural imperialism.
Way 11 : Newness
By God’s grace this year me and my family are expecting a baby, a new car, some home electronics and myself personally the best android phone.
A life devoid of idealistic drives and motivational push is more or less dead. Rising up and getting reminded of so many things to do and try out really gives life a push and meaning. There are countless number of things to still achieve, so do your research and set your heart on the great legacies you want to leave behind.
Way 12 : Love
From the Love that’s spontaneous, to the one for family and friends, to the one for the needy and to the one i have for God, i definitely need to be immersed in more love in 2016.
The Holy Ghost does this, He Sheds the Love of God into my heart. See Romans 5:5. This Love of God poured into me, makes me love others whom are not physically related to me. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God. See 1 John 4:16.
If you’re heart broken, let the Love of God bind you up and heal you and thereby reveal another part and channel of love into your heart and life.
Way 13 : Perseverance
If it’s easy, everyone will do it. If it’s not hard, it cannot be termed a breakthrough. Whatsoever you set your heart to achieve, persevere in it and drag it to the Everest of completion. I know impossible is nothing, our resolve is tried and must equate the coming success.
Way 14 : Exercise & Workouts
For all round health of body, soul & spirit. I will certainly resume my pushup sessions and other workout activities. I stopped last year when i wasn’t getting adequate sleep because of the late night work i was doing.
I can’t emphasize how much good and the mind restoration impact workouts has on my body. I get psychologically refreshed almost instantly and my thinking is crystal clear. When you workout your heart rate increases, and blood is delivered to your muscles. You start burning calories for fuel. And you get an almost immediate mood boost.As little as 30 minutes of cardio three to five days a week will add six years to your life, according to research at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas. Do that plus a couple of days of resistance training and you’ll not only live longer but also look younger, feel happier, have more energy, and stay slim.
As You Work Out & Exercise…
Your lungs are getting stronger and your brain sends signals to them to help you breathe faster and deeper, delivering extra oxygen to your muscles. Your motivation is also at its peak, thanks to a flood of endorphins, which trigger the classic runner’s high, you feel psyched and energized. Also during typical cardio exercise, your body taps mainly fat for fuel.
Exercise elevates your level of immunoglobulins, which are proteins that help bolster your immune system and ward off infection. “Every sweat session you do can help strengthen your immune function for about 24 hours,” says Cedric Bryant, PhD, chief science officer for the American Council on Exercise.
Mood-enhancing chemicals, like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, flood your brain for a couple of hours post-exercise and for up to a day if you’ve competed in an endurance event, like a marathon. So Ward off every trace of stress in 2016 with adequate and properly scheduled workouts and exercises.
Way 15 : Pray
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.* See James 5:16. Praying takes you into the realm of spiritual strength and influence where physical matter has no power. If you’re doubting just how much people believe in the power of prayer, you’ll be interested to know that according to a Pew Research Poll done in 2013, over 50% of Americans pray every single day. That is a shocking but very promising fact! Whether you are deeply religious or not, taking this time daily or even weekly can have profound effects.I remember praying fervently for the coming of our baby. In prayer your spirit man is speaking. Results happen in the physical. It Helps you forgive, increases trust and reduces stress.
Dedicate time to pray in 2016 and you won’t regret doing so.
Way 16 : Rigid Faith
Faith is the needed substance of anything hoped for. See Hebrews 11:6. With Faith mountains are removed (Mathew 21:21) and problems dissolved. We all exhibit faith in our daily lives, for example Pressing my clothes on a Sunday evening in preparation for work the next day is an act of faith. Putting on the TV switch and just sit back; hoping for it to display without knowing the electronic and electric mechanisms used in creating a TV set is faith.
If Faith is a substance, like salt is a substance to creating food, then what does Faith create? It create miracles, it turns the impossible to possible.
In 2016 let your walk be by Faith and you’ll see the possibilities are endless to you.
